This year we decided to go easy on Christmas...but not on our Christmas tree! Lol! The photos above are of the Christmas Tree that Prudential Tower displays in front of the building. It took them two days to complete the set up and decoration, which was also a sight to see! There were several men working almost through the night. Each set of decorative balls where in a different box and the lights were laid out in straight lines. It was neat to see them put it up.
At night the decorative balls reflect the lights on the tree and it looks amazing. Of course I can't seem to get a night time photo of the tree that does it justice, so you'll just have to trust me on.
There is a plaque on the base of the tree which explains that the tree is 50 years old and from the Gunma prefecture of Japan. Once it has served as our Christmas tree, they will return the tree to Gunma for conservation.
Tis the season! Merry Christmas!!
We remember the location of the tree, but it seems as if it had blue balls last year. Maybe it was blue lights? Very beautiful at night -- we had dinner in a restaurant beside it. Delightful memories....
