We are finally beginning to get settled into our new home. I've learned that with a young child, having routines actually saves you in so many ways! We are just beginning to work out our daily schedule. Both Sloan and I have been sleeping in, but this morning we rose at 6 a.m. which gave us some time in the morning to be with Russ. I hope I can make that wake up time permanent because we all enjoyed the time together!
The house is also starting to get into order. There are many projects that we'd like to do around here, but we've agreed to take it one day at a time. Of course one of my initial goals is to get Sloan comfortable with her new surroundings. I try to make time for Sloan and I to enjoy her room, hopefully getting her use to it. We've also set up an area in the living room for her. As you can see, we received those wonderful foam floor squares from Uncle Reese and Aunt Sara. Sloan loves her designated area, along with the mounds of toys she received for Christmas. The area works well for all of us!
Slowly, we're getting settled in. I'm also getting back into taking photos. I haven't picked up a camera in over two weeks. It's great to share these fun times with you. Thanks for checking in!

Glad to see you are getting settled. Let me know when you are ready for a playdate! When Sloan gets tired of her Xmas toys, check out http://www.babyplays.com/, it's Netflix for toys and has been so helpful with Trey. He likes having new toys all the time and I like not having a house 100% full of big plastic toys. Now, like, only 75% of the house is foam and plastic :)
